Project 50, 11 of 50. Fifty faces, with my 50mm lens, in 50 days.
This is Caroline. She is the daughter of a friend of ours who did the hair of my Daughter-in-Law for her very recent marriage to my son. Caroline and her sister are so cute and had so much fun showing me their pool and just running around the yard.
Now – this is important for you to know. I’ve never worked with textures in Photoshop before. This is my first attempt. Worse then that, I decide to go in blind and read nothing about how to do it or follow any tutorials or anything. I just fooled around until I got what you see. I don’t know if I’m happy with it or not. Part of my reason for doing this project is to experiment with different ways to look at and show faces. I see great pictures using textures, and horrible ones. I’ll be honest and say I think this one is somewhere in between those two options. I’m just sharing my public learning exprierences with you – hope you don’t mind. Now, I will find me a few good examples, tutorials, books, or articles and see if I can improve this process.
If you are photographer, let me know if you have any good sources for how-to’s with textures. I need to learn more.
