Project 50, 14 of 50. Fifty faces, with my 50mm lens, in 50 days.
This is Ed. My dad. I would say that the fact that he always had his Nikon with him while I was growing up, and he was a pretty good amateur photographer, is a big reason why I do what I do now. Each year he set up and took formal portraits of us as kids (all six of us), and he was always had prints of his favorite photos on the walls. I still remember his old Nikon’s. Even though I’m a Cannon fan now, I think my favorite camera was my old F3. I loved that thing. The high eye point, the removable view finder, great control. Just a great camera. I love my all digital word now, and I wouldn’t know where to start going back to film, but sometimes I miss them.
Pretty simple shot. Maybe it is just me, but is pretty hard to get my Dad to do much for the camera. Smile and shoot. I guess that is the basics of family snap shots.
