Murray

Murray

Project 50, 26 of 50. Fifty faces, with my 50mm lens, in 50 days.

Meet Murray. Murray was born on a farm in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. Yes he is the Canadian wing of our family. Actually in 2008, after 19 years in this country, he became a US citizen, so I guess we lost our only Canadian. That is kind of sad. If you remember the picture of Max a few days ago, Murray is Max’s grandfather.

I treated this picture of Murray in a more traditional way without much post processing. Simple face picture with a basic background. Murray is always happy and upbeat and I wanted to try to capture the natural optimism that I see in him. He is very curious about people and what they are doing so he ends up talking to anyone for as long as they will let him. Mix that with his optimism and smile and you have the perfect mix of a friend. I simply wanted to capture that simply and not try anything crazy with this one.

Melanie - Jon, I love this project. One of the few things I do on line daily is check this project out. Of all the faces in your project, this is the one I love the most. Of course it is my husband. Thank you for seeing in it what I see-
the optimism, love of life, and love of people. ReplyCancel
