Sleeping Child

Sleeping Child

Project 50, 28 of 50. Fifty faces, with my 50mm lens, in 50 days.

I like Black and White portraits of children. There is something simple about them that allows you to see the child rather than the photograph, if that makes sense. Now, this child is one of my cousin’s (or my wife’s cousin’s) children. The problem I have is, I’m not sure who it is. Sounds crazy I know, but there are lots and lots and lots of kids this age and I’m not good with names of anyone, let alone people I only see every few years. So, I know someone reading this will recognize this child and give me his name – let me know so I can add it and feel less dumb.

Jon - Thanks Amanda! I'm ashamed to say that I didn't even remember who was holding the kid. I was so focused on getting to his face with out waking him up that I don't think I even looked – I couldn't remember who the parents were. Lesson learned there. I'll track them down and find out.ReplyCancel

Amanda - I don't know his name, but I know it's Darcy and Alan Hadfield's little boy. I remember watching you take this picture and thinking that I hoped to get to see it at some point. I love it.ReplyCancel

valerie - I love it. It's so pure. The light is beautiful and the very small depth of field draws your attention well.ReplyCancel
