Project 50, 33 of 50. Fifty faces, with my 50mm lens, in 50ish days.
So, I was thinking today. While I love my job in the corporate world, and do not want to leave it at all, there are days that make me think of the past. How fun it used to be to have a “job” rather then a “career”. What I mean by that is a simple task oriented job that when the day is over, you are done and out. You go home and don’t even think about your next day at the office until you return. I could spend my days at work, then go and do nothing but creative things. Someday’s I think that would be nice.
I did spend time in my life with my career being what I thought was going to be totally creative. I had my photography studio, did good work, clients loved me, but you know what? If found most of my days were filled with my own version of “corporate” work anyway. You see, no matter what you are doing, you will have to spend most of you time with business. A creative person needs to manage their business in order to be able to do their creative work. What is my point? I’m not really sure myself. Other then I’m glad I have the opportunity to do what I like at my job, AND in my creative world. As a side note, it is realy nice to have my day “job” fund my photography passion.
This is Tiffany. I work with her. To explain her job in the most simple ways, she is there to make sure I don’t screw up. She makes sure I and my team are basically following all the rules. She is very fun, we love when she visits. She is very good at what she does. As a side not, she did just trade in a clunker for a new car. I guess you could say she is helping us all out.

Valerie - Beautiful photo. Very beautifully processed too. Did you 'soften' the image or is it just the extreme dof that gives it such a dreamy look? (it reminds me of iPhone app focallab, you know what I mean
)
Jon - Valerie – sorry for the delay in answering. I did soften it a bit. I added a blured layer is PS and blended with the soft light option. I lowered the opacity of that layer a bit because I didn't want it to be too over powering. Most the softness comes from the DOF, shooting at f2 did not leave too much in focus.
Samar - Great timing! Awesome.
