Project 50, 44 of 50. Fifty faces, with my 50mm lens, in 50ish days.
Tonight you get a two for one. I’ve used Samantha a few times in this project 50 for a few reasons. One, she is around. Living with her and Tree makes it pretty easy to use them. Also, I don’t feel I have near enough good photos of the two of them. We have lots and lots of “snapshots” but not much else for the last few years. I realized earlier this year that I had not been working to get great shots of them, and I know I’m going to regret that later. So, they are not happy about it, but I think they may be getting used to it.
Working on a daily project like this is an interesting experience. I’ve learned a ton about myself, and even more technically about post processing techniques (now I just need to get very good at them). There are also times when you just don’t feel it. Some days are hard to focus and do well with a daily project. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to increase their skills, get creativity back in their life, really look around them for beauty, and get to know their equipment. Set a goal, pick up the camera and do it. Don’t think, just decide and do it.

Valerie - It's beautiful, I think they are indeed getting used to it- you can see they're much more relaxed, less 'face-making'- and I absolutely agree with you, a daily project- even the one I'm doing- is very good training, in many ways. I am certainly going to keep up doing projects. Sometimes forcing yourself is just what you need to keep the flow going.
