This is Tigger. Tigger is our dog. This is in someways a really bad picture of him. If he were a human, I’m sure he would not be all too happy that I posted this picture of his distorted face. But, lucky for me he is a dog. I was recently asked about my dog, so I thought it a good time to post a picture of him. We rescued him from a shelter as a puppy. He is a German Shepherd mix – we believe mixed with a blue healer. Very smart dog. Very nice dog. I’ve had dogs all my life and he has been the best.
So, why the yawning you ask?? Well, he has developed a strange personality trait. In order to get our attention he yawns. Most dogs will cry, or whimper, or bark, or scratch things. Tigger yawns. He makes a small squeaking noise when he yawns, and that is how he tells us he wants to wake up, or go outside, or says “come play with me”, or just about anything. He hasn’t seemed to figure out how to make the same noise without the yawn. I think he believes the only way to make the proper noise to talk to humans is though the yawn. Dogs are both smart and kind of dumb. I guess that is why they are so happy all the time.
