I’m still a bit behind, and missed a few days, but I figure I’m just going to keep going. There will be days ahead where I will have more then one picture to post – I’ll catch up then.
I’ve been working on my pool pump the last few days, and everytime I ducked under a certain tree branch I heard a buzzing. I thought it was a bee attacking me, but I could never see it. After a few times I thought there might be a bee hive in the tree and I got a bit worried. Turns out it was just a protective hummingbird mother. This nest is right at head height about 5 or 6 steps from my back door. The bird it very patient and lets you get pretty close without moving, but if she gets startled, she will buzz your head. With that long sharp pointy nose of her’s I’ll give her all the room she needs. She may be small, but I don’t want a shot with that beak.
