There is a great photographic lesson here. One that even after you have learned over and over again, will come back to haunt you. One that is probably the most important lesson to learn if you want to take great pictures. PAY ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS IN THE FRAME! I’m not real happy with this picture because I failed that simple lesson. I was so excited about the play between the textures of her hair and the wood background that I missed the horrible highlight right on the point of her nose. I could have had her move just a few inches, got the same effect, but no crazy light. Lesson learned for the 4 millionth time.

This is on more of Naomi. Other then the blown out highlights, I love the way she looks in this. So, a picture I’m almost good with I thought I would share – along with the lesson.

Jon - Thanks Mindy! I love the red color as well. The wood behind her was very red, the sunlight, her hair . . . I had to try to emphasize that a bit. Thanks for the comment, it means a lot to me!!ReplyCancel

Mindy (zandria1) - Another beautiful portrait. The reddish hue in the photo makes it something very special. ReplyCancel
