2010.7.25 (Thomas Kinkade on Acid)
This picture is either A) Thomas Kinkade after a nasty acid trip or B) what happens when you put 3 of the wrong photos into photomatrix to attempt to make an HDR. Before you can say “whoops” you end up with a picture you can’t stop playing with. Although this picture is nothing special, I thought it illustrated a point. Art happens when mistakes are around. Don’t be afraid of messing up, be afraid on not being in a position where you can mess up. That is where all the fun happens, and where all the “art” comes from. Mistakes are our friends.
The attempt was to simply push some exposure into the dead sky of a picture I took on at the Venice Canals (the CA version, not Italy). I will give another try later tonight.
