(Stobist info – 580exII camera right and about level with subject and 10 feet away, 1/32 with CTO gel, shot through 1/8 grid, triggered with Pocket Wizards)

I’m back in town, and able to continue on my road to stobe ninja. Let the experimenting continue. Tonight I wanted to play with warming the flash up a bit in order to have the effect of cooling the background. I used a grid on the flash as well to restrict the spreading of the light. I did soften Samantha up a bit in Photoshop as well – hey, I’m a portrait guy, not a photojournalist. I will admit that this is getting faster and easier to figure out. With only 3 quick test shots I had this planned out and set up in under 3 minutes. I know, because our pizza was getting cold.
