I’m reading a book on LAB color in Photoshop that was recommended to me by David Nightingale of Chromasia.com. “The Canyon Conundrum and Other Adventures in the Most Powerful Colorspace.” You would think this would be a bit dry and boring, but it is actually a very entertaining book so far. I had to pull out a bit of rock to play with some of the color correction techniques I’ve been reading about.
If you roll your mouse over the “show original” link you will see the difference. It can be quite difficult to get some colors our of rocks and “canyons” (thus the book), but with LAB there is a bit more flexibility in doing this with out screwing up other issues in the image. So, this one tonight is just me practicing and playing.
