Bowling Ball Beach, or Schooner’s Gulch Beach, is now one of my go to places when I go to Nothern California. It is a great place. So much to shoot and so many angles, and as the tide changes it is like a different place altogether. This tire is interesting to me if only for my wonder at how it got there. The road is pretty far away and it is not the easiest beach to get to so I can’t imagine someone carried it there. I guess in a big rain it could make it ways down through the bluff and down the cliff, but it still seems like a long ways off.
Anyway, not too much to this photo. It is an HDR. I wanted to get some of the detail out on the tire and the rocks in the foreground and the since this was before sunrise it was hard to do with out HDR’ing it. Other then that just some change in contrast and some detail work to bring out the rocks a bit. Pretty simple this time.
