I’m very interested in buying a new camera. I’ve got my eye on the Sony RX1R. A full frame, fixed lens (35 mm) amazing piece of equipment. But it has quirks. No view finder – although you can add a sort of clunky one for a some extra money, a bit of a slow AF system, etc. I love the photos and the detail, and I love that it is a full frame sensor. But . . . it is not cheap. So for this week I rented the camera and I’m playing with it. I’m not much of a reviewer but in a few days I may give my impressions of the equipment. So far I’m having fun with it.
This is from a walk around my wife and I did in Lincoln Park with our dog. I’ll be posting more over the coming days, but it seems to do a great job with macro. There is a quick and easy switch on the lens to tell it to focus in macro mode. the detail this sensor brings out is amazing. Fun.
